The races for today (6/15) at the Mtn. Dew Bloomfield Speedway have been rained out.  All John Deere Ottumwa Works Employee and Family Night tickets,  as well as Pete Harkness Tent Event Test Drive Tickets from this week will be honored next Saturday.   Next Saturday June 22nd will be Stampede Graphics and Schaeffer Lubricants Midseason Championships with the rescheduled John Deere Ottumwa Works Employee and Family Night.

Races for 6/1 are on as scheduled!!! 

Races for 5/27 are now rained out (10pm Sun).  We could have made it work if no more rain had fell tonight and of course tomorrow.  Pits were begining to roll down  this evening. 

Races for 5/25 are rained out.  Monday show is still on for now.  We wil let eveyone know about Monday as early as possible if we get more rain.

As you all know we are stuck right between K-ville and 34 

so this is as close as I can get to a compromise on the tires.....We  

realize this will not work for everyone, but hope it will give most a  

reasonable opportunity to race.

Canceled for 5/11. Track would work in but no amount of sun and wind tomorrow will get the pits in shape. Spent all evening trying to pack anything in the pits down and it just keeps getting deeper!!

FM transmitter on the way so we will be broadcasting the track announcer.....this means you can turn your radio on at the trailer and listen to the play by play on the track!.....or bring your FM radio headsets and sit in the grandstands and tune out the noise and control your own volume of the announcer!

3/31  Mother nature is a cruel ol' gal.....due to the weather we have yet to touch the track, so practice day for April 6th is CANCELED.  We will not rush this and have to deal with a rough track all year.  Plan on Saturday April 13th for night number one....check out the schedule page for more details.

                    2012 Mtn. Dew Bloomfield Speedway Banquet and 2013 Kick-off Party!!

2012 is quickly coming to a close and we would like to say, once again, THANK YOU to everyone that helped make this racing season a success.  So, we want to personally invite each and everyone to the 2012 race banquet and 2013 season kick-off party.  This event will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Ottumwa, IA.  

We will take this time to recognize the top ten in each of the five weekly classes:  Karr Collision Center Modifieds, Mike's Tire and Alignment Sport Mods, Taylor  Automotive Stock Cars, Kirkland Auto Hobby Stocks, and the Kollision Korner sport compacts.  The top ten drivers in each class will be given awards honoring their 2012 achievement.

The location is the corner of 3rd St. W and North Washington St. downtown Ottumwa.  It is near the Public Library, Hotel Ottumwa, and the AmericInn Hotel.  If you are going North across the bridge on hiway 63 turn RIGHT on to 4th street (you will see the firestation and Walgreens on this corner) travel two blocks and turn  RIGHT on to Washington St....the building will be on your left as you reach 3rd St.  Travel on South on Washinton St. and there is a parking lot at the corner of  Washington and 2nd St.

2012 Race Banquet Set for Jan. 12....more 2013 news below!!

Ok.....to answer a few pending questions..... Jan. 12 is set for the 2012 Race Banquet in Ottumwa at the Knights of Columbus Hall....I will post more specifics first of the week and all the racers I have an address for will be mailed info. by the first week of Dec.  This year the top ten in points in our 5 weekly classes will have awards.  

This week the fairboard approved our proposal for a new 3...thats right THREE year contract.... and we will officially sign that next week at our meeting with the race committee.  I will be talking with IMCA again next week and nothing has been decided as far as sanctioning... either way we will continue with IMCA rules.... 

A tentative schedule will be posted next week as well.....back on Saturday Nites same time same place!! 

Davis County workers have cleaned out the pond and it is already almost full of water!!  WOW did we need that!!  Planning to move that dirt to the West to level up pit parking more off the backstretch. Also the road in from the south from 63 has been repaved to the fairgrounds entrance!!! WOW did that need done as well !!  Thanks a million Davis County!!  We have a couple pics of the pond and road...I'll get them posted as well.....
